、《Mars Needs Moms》、《Hoodwinked Too!

WRINKLES (Spanish: Arrugas) is a 2011 Spanish animated drama film directed by Ignacio Ferreras, based on the comic book with the same name by Paco Roca. The story is set in a retirement home and revolves around the friendship between two elderly men, one of them in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

An enchanting fable about looking past appearances and cultivating unlikely loyalties in times of need, A CAT IN PARIS (French: Une Vie De Chat) is the first feature-length collaboration by the creative team of Alain Gagnol and Jean-Loup Felicioli.

Impressive 2-D animation turns the streets of Paris into a delicate watercolor study, as cat burglar Nico and cat Dino leap nimbly across rooftops and slip silently into open windows in search of loot. Unbeknownst to Nico, Dino actually leads a double life. By day he is the constant companion of seven-year-old Zoe, the daughter of an overextended, widowed police commissioner, Jeanne. Zoe hasn’t spoken since gang boss Victor Costa murdered her father. Her mother, determined to bring Costa to justice, is unable to give her much attention, leaving her instead in the care of her nanny Claudine, who herself leads a double life as Costa’s gal pal.

A criminal in job description only, nice guy Nico finds himself protecting Zoe against Costa’s gang after she inadvertently stumbles on a plot to steal the so-called Colossus of Nairobi while following Dino on his mysterious rounds. To bring Costa to justice and rescue Zoe, Jeanne is forced to place her faith in a man she knows to be an outlaw. Children of all ages will root for the undercats in this droll thriller, while the moody cityscape and a cool retro jazz soundtrack will appeal to their hip elders.

ALOIS NEBEL is a 2011 Czech animated drama film directed by Tomáš Luňák, based on the comic-book trilogy by Jaroslav Rudiš and Jaromír 99. It is among the 18 films that compete for the 84th Academy Awards nominations in the category of the best animated film as well as the best foreign language film.

This black-and-white film was animated mainly through rotoscoping and stars Miroslav Krobot as the title character. It is set in the late 1980s in a small village in the Jeseník Mountains, close to the Polish border, and tells the story of a train dispatcher who begins to suffer from hallucinations where the present converges with the dark past of the expulsion of Germans after World War II.

The music for the film was created by Jaromír 99, Petr Kružík (both from Priessnitz), Dušan Neuwerth and Jan P. Muchow (both of the Umakart band). Guest performers on the album include Marie Rottrová and Václav Neckář. The theme song called “Půlnoční” (Midnight) was sung by the Czech 80s pop singer Václav Neckář.

CHICO & RITA is a passionate and animated love story created by Oscar-winning director Fernando Trueba (Belle Epoque) and Spain’s most famous and successful designer Javier Mariscal.

Close collaborators and friends for many years, Trueba and Mariscal celebrate their passion for the music and culture of Cuba with an epic story of love and heartbreak, set against the color and bustle of Havana, New York, Las Vegas, Hollywood and Paris in the late 1940s and early 1950s.

The story revolves around a gifted songwriter and beautiful singer chase their dreams - and each other - from Havana to New York and Las Vegas. Chico is a young piano player with big dreams. Rita is a beautiful singer with an extraordinary voice. Music and romantic desire unite them, but their journey - in the tradition of the Latin ballad, the bolero - brings heartache and torment.

With an original soundtrack by legendary Cuban pianist, bandleader and composer Bebo Valdés, the film captures a definitive moment in the evolution of jazz music.
